You are invited to join us for a guided tour of the contemporary holiday traditions and farm-to-table seasonal cuisine in the annual holidays rooms at the American Swedish Institute. This décor represents holiday traditions of Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland and Finland. Also available on own to view is a Lucia exhibit and a Swedish Holiday Traditions exhibit called “It’s Not the Why, It’s the What.” For lunch we’ll dine on own at FIKA (the new restaurant at the American Swedish Institute), where you can choose from a seasonally-inspired menu dedicated to regional ingredients and Nordic traditions. FIKA features traditional Swedish delicacies alongside modern interpretations of the New Nordic Cuisine. There will be time to visit other areas of the museum and Christmas gift shops as well as the rest of the mansion on your own before we return to Northfield.
