Kick Off Event: Troubled Waters
Larkin McPhee, Emmy-award winning producer will be our keynote speaker for the kick-off event on local sustainability. We will have a showing of “Troubled Waters: A Mississippi River story” followed by a presentation by Larkin McPhee, who is the Producer and Director of this PBS special. The film shows the relationship between farming practices and the health of the river. It tells the story of changes on the land and the initiatives people are taking to ensure a more sustainable food production system.
