whistlerani1Two old time radio programs will be performed “for a live audience” (that’s you) on Saturday, March 21 at 7:30pm and Sunday, March 22 at 3pm. We will be performing, complete with sound effects, one of the popular “Whistler” mysteries, which were on the air from May of 1942 until September of 1955. One of the intrigues of The Whistler show was always the surprise ending. Each show began with the Whistler setting the mysterious, suspenseful tone with these words, “I am the Whistler, and I know many things, for I walk by night. I know many strange tales, hidden in the hearts of men and women who have stepped into the shadows. Yes…I know the nameless terrors of which they dare not speak.”

In addition to the Whistler episode, “The Necklace was Incidental,” the players will present an episode of the Camel Comedy Caravan, hosted by Jimmy Durante.  Cast includes: Dan Van Tassel, Dick Waters, Marie Gery, Jim McDonnell, Jane Greenwood, Jim Haas, Dale Sheldon, Rhoda Van Tassel, and Peggy Sheldon.  Our “orchestra” will be Craig Wasner at the piano.

Tickets: $10 (includes CAKE DESSERT served after each performance.
