On Tuesday, July 21 , The Northfield of Dreams Senior softball team
traveled to Cannon Falls for a game against The Cannon Falls Boomers.

to Cannon Falls for the show down.
Northhfield’s line-up looked like this:

Bill Johnson at first base
Joy Bussert at second
Brian Barnes at third
Dave Morrison, shortstop
Harley Tate in left Field
Paul Kluge in short Left

At the end of the day, Northfield prevailed 17-6 behind a solid all around team effort.
Tom Brawley pitched the complete game without giving up a walk. Tom kept the game
moving nicely, steadily throwing strikes inning after inning. Big Bill Johnson led the team at the plate with a towering home run blast in his first at bat, clearing the fence by maybe a foot. After his first at bat heroics Bill continued to put in strong at bats, hitting the ball hard all day. Defensive stand out Gary Kruse turned in another gold glove performance in left center field, making several fine plays.
Northfield returns to action, Tuesday, July 28 at 10AM against Faribault in Faribault’s
North Alexander Park.
You only get old when you quit playing. So, big, big thanks to the Northfield Senior Center
