Trips

FiftyNorth offers a variety of travel opportunities including theater, concerts, river cruises, museums, professional sports events and so much more!

The Travel Committee plans, schedules, and escorts all events. Trip attendees are transported by charter bus to many delightful, insightful and entertaining venues. Past adventures have found us visiting many of the Twin Cities’ museums or theaters, taking historical tours of unique cities, or attending a Twins or Saints game. Occasionally, an overnight travel adventure is planned. Scholarships are available to help defray the cost for our more expensive adventures.

You may sign up for any of these trips online with credit card payment, or come into the Center and fill out a registration form, attach payment and put into registration slot behind the Reception Desk.  To sign up online, click on the name of the trip.

If you have ideas for a trip adventure for the Travel Committee to consider, please contact Michelle Brant at 664-3707.

“reason and love keep little company…”
One of Shakespeare’s most magical and popular plays, A Midsummer Night’s Dream has something new to offer everyone, even those who have seen it many times. Full of confused lovers, mischievous fairies, rulers and some “rude” mechanicals, this play takes us from the structure of Athens to the more free and mysterious forest where confusion reigns and anything can happen!
Midsummer will be directed by Doug Scholz-Carlson, the artistic director of the Great River Shakespeare Festival.

Production will be in the historic 1908 Masonic Building theater, newly acquired by the city of Winona.  Historic scenery from the era will be used.
